my mum had chemo she lost her beauiful hair it made her very sick- she refused it and then just let the cancer take over- I fed her morphine to control the pain - cancer is so fucked up- my beautiful darling mother
Sorry about your Mum, Agnes.

I lost my father due to lung cancer and also my favourite sister to pancreatic cancer. Neither had Chemo but Radiation.

I think that by the time my father was diagnosed, the cancer had spread. I didn't go down to Melbourne that Christmas .... he was diagnosed on his birthday in November. He was in Peter McCallum in Melbourne, I was living in Sydney. Then a sister rang me to say "Dad is asking for you", so we drove down and I can still shed a tear when he saw me and said .... "I didn't think you would come" (tears running down his face)... he died 2 weeks later (in April) ... I think he was hanging on until he saw me, I was (according to my 3 sisters) his favourite.

My sister had pancreatic cancer and lasted for 18 months from diagnosis. She was still smoking as her hubby took her to the Hospice ... she refused to go in an Ambulance ... she died the next day.

IF I get diagnosed with cancer I will refuse all treatment and just make sure my finances are in order, and tell everybody on the Forum ... maybe.

Not sure that "BAD LUCK" is a problem. Of Father, Mother and 4 children, ONLY 2 have died from cancer. My Mother died from "heart failure" and her stupid GP had made her have test for all sorts of stuff and at the Funeral, he came up to me and said "She needed a triply bypass" ... my reply? Too fucking late now, she's in the coffin. She could have been saved, had he done his job. ALL her sisters are still alive and in their 90s.

Hard to imagine someone in the year 2017 who cannot do his own Google search. You may want to consider that in the USA research on cannabis is largely prohibited which is why the research is moving to Israel. That county's research on cannabis and its effect on Multiple myeloma, for example, is quite interesting.
