My washing machine recently developed some problems and on Friday I booked a repair man for Tuesday, as Monday is a public holiday. Although I have never had a problem with the machine before I have since been convinced that repairing it would be silly and I should buy a new one!

What to do whinge whinge whinge!

On a positive note Appliances Online look excellent. I have seen great reviews for them before but I have never used them. Their prices are excellent and they deliver the next day for free and also take away the old machine. What a find!!

They even have a 24/7 number so I just called them and even if I order it tomorrow (public holiday) it will still be delivered the next day. They are certainly worth a look if you need anything.

I have used Appliances Online. I bought a Samsung washing/dryer combo and a Chef oven/stove from them several years ago. Both were delivered the next morning and they took the old appliances away. I would definitely recommend them.

Appliances Online were great by the way :thumb

Whinge for the day ...

I had to call the Fly Buys office today. I rarely bother about such things but when they send promotions and you accept them I fully expect them to honour said promotions.

Anyway, I called and got one girl with an accent so strong I could not understand her, nor could she understand me. I asked for a Supervisor and then I got beep beep beep. GGGRRR

So I call back and get another girl with a really strong accent and assumed I was being directed to either the Philippines or India. So I ask "Where are you located?" To which she replied "Melbourne".

Again she had no clue what I was talking about so again I ask for a Supervisor. Same thing. Thick thick accent

I finally got put through to a Supervisor who could also barely speak English and I asked her too. She said they were in Melbourne. :roll

It's bad enough that we get directed overseas for customer service calls but if these people really are located in Australia why don't they employ people who can actually speak, and understand, English? Or are they trained to lie now? So infuriating!

I never bothered with Fly Buys ...

Any problem with Appliances Online you will get (24/7) an Aussie to give you advice. Let's hope it remains that way.

Why do we do Call Centres? How many people actually listen to this lot? I just hang up. IF they really are people I want to speak to, start to leave a message ... and I will pick up!

Whinge for the day ...

Someone left the back passenger window down about an inch in my car and with the rain over the past couple of days my car got flooded. There was an inch of water swishing around in the back driver's side foot well and, to a lesser extent, in the driver's foot well.

Added to that I had 3 library books in the back of the car I didn't have time to take back the day before and they got wet. The library wants to charge me over $20 for each book plus a $10 admin fee. Over $70!!! Plus a soaked car!!

I am trying to dry out the books but the pages are going crinkly :|

Not happy! Nope, not happy at all :mad

That will teach you!

When I was in Bunnings this morning people parked next to me and left the drivers window down a couple of inches, I thought that's a bit silly then noticed as I backed out a big dogs nose poked out the gap! LOL :rofl
