They are not given the right to marry as anyone else would be- that is an inquaility isnt it- ?
They can marry civilly like most heteros do now but they can't marry in a Church. Why should the Church have to marry people if it goes against their teachings?
Marriage is marriage and does not have to be blessed in the Church. They DO have the equal rights of married people legally though.

I dont think thats right BO they cannot be registered as married most of them do use celebrants and or registry offices....where they are allowed to we NZ for instance..the church is another thing.... I am not sure if that will be in the legislation of which we know nothing..
a baker got fined for refusing to make a rainbow wedding cake in America..... so we could be in for a massive shock if the yes voters win..
I have filled in my form its ready to go back ion the postbox...

Businesses have been made bankrupt in the US and in Canada for refusing to make wedding cakes for gays, photographers etc. Churches have been sued.
Before I give my consent I want to see this invisible legislation in black and white in all its glory. People have a right not to agree with SSM and those who do disapprove, for whatever reason, need to be protected in business.
I also want all semblance of the Safe Schools Program and and other such indoctrinations of children OUT of our education system.

I do not agree with a single thing in this post- we have no right to vote on someones elses future as fellow human beings- you can have a right not to agree with it- but actually voting on it is not right- who cares about cake makers having to pander to a few difficult customers who want their cakes just so- sheesh- and how do you equate safe schools progams to ssm ?

I am not sure what you are disagreeing with Agnes?
Why do you think people should vote YES without asking questions? Having concerns? Querying the off-shoots of this whole thing?
It really has nothing to do with equality.
