The phenomenon of Craiglist Scammers is truly a mystery to be. Usually, I can spot them in the very first communication, but at least by the second since I know how to save time and ask specific questions in reply.
I figure it must exist for one of two reasons, or both.
1. People in their endless quest for get rich quick stuff, buy information on how to "make money on Craigslist, EBay, whatever, and it turns out to be: cheat people. So, probably a lot are newbies who've not yet pulled a successful scam.
2. Occam's Razor always gets the best of me so, it must be that there really are that many people out their so stupid as to fall for obvious scamming by amateurs.

I don't really know much about Craigslist and assume it is something like our Gumtree which is also stacked with scammers for the gullible.
