As I said, you need to qualify the question, such as
What size aircon?
What type of aircon?
What size area?
Heating and cooling?
What size solar system?
Grid tied or off-grid?
What state?
What feed in tariff?
What changes proposed or possible from the govts that can effect the subsidies?
Answer -
The largest aircon that can be run from the solar cells on the roof
without needing to draw power from the grid.
The feedin tariff doesn't matter then because you're not feeding any electricity back in to the grid -
you're just running the aircon from solar cells.
You're lowering the amount of electricity required during the summer peak times
so everyone is happy.
I guess everyone would be happy living in magical Bobby world.
The real world, just like solar electricity, works a little differently when you exit magical Bobby world and enter the real world where the laws of physics and thermodynamics get in the way.
The largest solar system available for residential homes would struggle to be able to start the smallest room sized air con, let alone run it with any stability over a period of peak summer heat times. More likely, you would end up killing the aircon compressor.
So ~ $20000 for the the biggest solar system, and the largest thing that it can actually generate by itself for a user is a cloud of embarassment.
For another couple of thousand $ you can hook it to the grid and that cloud of embarassment is easily converted into a noxious cloud of green smugness.

dear IQ,
Bullshit - modern inverter air cons don't require large startup current.
In any case the startup could be done with mains power from the grid.
Some people have 3KW solar arrays on their roof -
more than enough to power an aircon all day in summer.
as long at that sun is shining on the cells.

I would like to explain to you why you are wrong and the principles and difference behind kW vs kWh and instantaneous and constant current draw etc, but unfortunately your bus window licking activities will get in the way of the concentration you will need to understand these simple concepts.
If you manage to stop licking the windows for a couple of minutes, you can study up on the system that "some people" have and tell me if they have a 3kW or a 3kW
h system?

IQ - I give up with you -
you don't know what you're talking about.
Even the dumbest electrician after day one of their electricians course
would know that I'm right.
My qualifications are mainly in electronics & I now
know that you don't have an electrical engineers degree -
as you have claimed before - you're a liar.
You picked the wrong guy to argue with -
you thought you could bullshit your way out of technical error.

Why don't you just answer the question...you can even ask the dumbest sparky
...tell me if they have a 3kW or a 3kWh system?
It's a simple question booby.

Dickbrain,
you can have a 3kW solar system but a 3kWhr system refers to a storage battery that I wasn't talking about.
I'm talking about a solar cell connected to the grid.
Stop licking bus windows.

A kWh does not just refer to a storage battery, you autistic retard
Why do you think you can argue a point when you haven't got a fucking clue and then try to change the consideration?
I tried to tell you the reasons why but youre a lefty so you are unable to be educated...and you're also dishonest.
You were caught out trying to claim you could run an aircon off-grid on solar panels alone, then after google-learning you changed the parameters.
So I will leave it on the only level you are capable of understanding.
Summary for retard
You cannot run an aircon on off-grid solar panels alone.
Why? Because you don't understand how solar panels work, you don't understand how aircon works and you don't understand energy consumption.
But the largest reason of all is because you're a stupid fuck.

IQ,
do you deny that you could run an aircon from solar cells on the roof of a house?

IQS.RLOW wrote:Sir Bobby wrote:Hi IQ,
can you consider solar cells on a roof in summer when an air-conditioner is running?
You need to qualify your question and the objective,
You have done neither of the above...I blame autism.
