Hmmm nope, it's only 9:36 here right now, Jm ...

We are still in daylight saving time, we don't fall back until Nov, can't remember the date, my computer does it auto for me ...

Yeah, we started daylight saving a month earlier than usual.

I knew the Left Coast was closer to us in time than the rest of the US. Sat afternoon when the shop is not busy I chat on a brewboard that is hosted in the US and mostly has yanks on it.

The westcoast of the US - Pacific Daylight Time - is about 16 hours behind QLD time ...

It is now 10:08 pm on Sunday night ... not Monday yet here ...

I used to chat on that board in the (my) evening, early morning US when there were some Aussies there, the Left Coast contingent were always the last ones to arrive.

Heh, one of the Rats has an Aussie in law. He cracks the in law up by saying "Work was busy, I was flat out like a lizard drinking!" Cracks the in law up everytime Bet it sounds like something else, a typical Aussie saying made with an American accent (A Montana accent I believe.)

Does it snow where you are? I remember, with loathing, snow in Holland. Sure it looks pretty spread out everywhere, but in the cities it gets ploughed up and you get these dirty white-black mounds of slippery, icy snow by the side of every street.

On this board I have kept the time zone default to your area in Australia - after all, I already know my own time, so on the board I like to see it all on your time ...

Nope, doesn't snow here ... once there was a dusting of snow in 1972, haven't seen even a flurry since then ...

Occasionally Mt Lofty gets half an inch of snow but that's about it.

I went back to Holland in Dec 78. My dear aunts, kind ladies all of them, took me for a "snow hike" (snueew wandeling) one evening. Found out later the temperature at the time was -21C! And Lefty thinks Adelaide gets cold! Remember a weather forecast there "The maximum temperature will be -7C." The maximum! Not for this now Aussie lad!

In 1956-7 my parents were planning on migrating. The choice was Australia or Canada. Glad they didn't chose Canada!!!
