COLOMBIAN police believe Australian woman Cassie Sainsbury, arrested for allegedly having an estimated US$1 million (AU$1.3 million) worth of cocaine in her luggage, could have been working as a drug mule.
Jorge Mendoza, the ports and airports director for Colombia’s anti-narcotic police, says he doubted the 22-year-old’s story that she didn’t know the drugs were hidden inside 18 headphone boxes.
And an expert on the South American drug trade also believes it’s unlikely the Adelaide personal trainer didn’t know about the illicit haul in her luggage.
Sainsbury was arrested at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota on April 12 after a tip-off she was smuggling 5.8kg of cocaine.

IS she innocent? I say not. 18 packets of cocaine and she didn't know? BS!
What's with these young fools who think they can travel to these countries and expect to make a quick buck?
I don't usually talk about peoples' looks but she really doesn't look anything like a personal trainer either.

As for the drugs, that is totally suss.... how many headphones did she think she was carrying? How big were they supposed to be?
Apparently the police were tipped off as well...

If I wanted to buy headphones for my wedding party I would not travel to Columbia to buy them. Nor would I NOT check the boxes.

Wasn't she caught trying to get OUT of Columbia? WHY would any young female go there, alone, anyway?

Her story is BS.
She will not enjoy prison. Blond and semi pretty. Why do they do it.
I like Indonesia. There is a sign saying, drug dealer will be executed at the airport. It is not like you are not warned.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before or not but I heard on the radio that the Columbian Police had been tipped off by US police so she was under suspicion.
