Wash your mouth out with soap & water.

You need some justice.
No surprise you voted for an alcoholic blowhard who pilfered a donor liver from someone more deserving of it.
I have no problem with him having a liver provided he never drinks again.
Yes, I'm sure that's what the donors family wanted as well.
Shame he's supposedly downing two bottles of wine a day...
I know a lot of people who do that and think it is Ok in the long run.

There is a new middle class problem of many people doing this.

You have to give it a rest regularly so the liver can recover. if you don't you end up in trouble.

I am sure he understands this now.

This was after he destroyed his own liver and has someone else's liver transplant and you can guarantee that he was warned by every surgeon, GP, endocrinologist, hepatologist and nurse what not to do.
How anyone wants to treat their own body is their business, but if youre lucky enough to get a second chance with the limited supply of spare body parts, then you don't deserve that organ that 2 people died to give you, nor do you deserve to sit in parliament.

drunk and smoked all his life...66 yrs old...all I know is he looks shocking...Hinch isnt even close.

Hinch's old liver looked like a piece of yellow dripping.
I saw it on TV once.
It was disgusting.

It's a hard question and I'm not sure there is a correct answer.
In some ways letting people use their super to buy a house WILL ensure those people have a roof over their head when they retire and will not need to rent, so they will be better off.
But given super is supposed to be for retirement so that people do not need to use public handouts for pensions should we let them access their super?
Personally I don't think I will have enough super when I retire as I was about thirty when super became compulsory.
In order to address that I bought an investment property last year which I'm renting out and it makes more in rent than I need to pay in mortgage payments plus I can claim interest and other costs involved in owning it.
I'm looking at that property as MY super.
But I already own a property and I was lucky that when I bought this I only needed twenty grand deposit.
I'm actually thinking of selling this and buying another property to live in as well as another investment property to rent out, I've still got a good ten to fifteen years I can work and pay off another mortgage, but the socialist in me hates me for even thinking about it.

It is a dilemma but that's LIFE, nobody knows what will happen in the future but I expect that the Age Pension will no longer be around in 20 years, unless we start breeding like rabbits and create many jobs that "migrants" will do for a lot less money than Aussies will.

I think Aussies live in a dream world where you pay somebody to mow your lawn at approximately $60 an HOUR! My lawn man takes about 20 minutes to mow my grass for $30 cash! The ATO should hear about this but .......... If you get ANY type of trades person to do something, they quote "cash only" and if you ask whether they will take a cheque ... shock, horror, they will but will add 10% ... OBVIOUSLY tax avoidance.

We have had it too good in Australia and kids are now so fussy about what sort of "work" they will do after school and weekends .... NOBODY wants to do menial jobs, except teenagers who think $10/hour (LEGAL for 15 year olds) is hardly worth the effort, so they sponge off their parents.

Once upon a time, only the rich kids went to University and a Degree was worth a good salary because you were "unique". These days, everybody has a Degree ... it is no longer a guarantee to get into the Public Service ... you will end up like the guy in the USA that I talked to on Chat back in the 90s, who had a 3-year Business Degree and was so thrilled to he FINALLY got a job ... selling shoes!

What happened to those kids who want to become plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc? Even Nurses need a University degree ... Teachers used to attend a special Teachers College .... for 4 years. Now they do a 3 year Arts/Education thing at Uni. Half of them cannot spell.

Superannuation was supposed to gently force people to SAVE for their retirement, instead of them thinking that The Government would take care of them in their Old Age. Dip into it to do WHAT? Stuff that up too?

I saw something online about this "proposal" by that dickhead Hinch ....... somebody did the sums .... average income for somebody 25-30 = $75,000+ and if they save xxx in Superannuation and ........ blah blah. They'll be worse off and still not OWN a house in SYD-EN-Y by the time they are 70!

This is what Labor and the ABC is saying it is not what the proposal was... the proposal was to allow first home buyers to afford a deposit to not buys a new house.... for starters in Sydney you'd have to have a million dollars to do that in many places. That is not the policy suggestion.

Super was meant to help people in retirement, it was never originally meant to replace the pension.

if they are looking to Sydney to buy then more fool them...

no one wants to start off small today.. there is no way they should be encouraged to buy BIG and grand.. its pathetic..

and like I have said what happens when the relationship falls apart...which the way we are going is well on the cards..

well done to you skippy only sell what you are living in when you need to down market...unless your happy to move out side of town...

People should be able to cash in all their super if they can demonstrate they are saving for their retirement in a financially conservative way.

So neferti... why shouldn't people be able to use their own money or part of it at least to secure a home loan?
