Beyond Blue chair Jeff Kennett to be replaced by former PM Julia Gillard

Former prime minister Julia Gillard has been named the new chair of mental health advocacy organisation Beyond Blue, replacing former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett.

Yeah, not the sort of appointment I would give her. Perhaps George Brandis? Tony Abbot? Sound like a numpty job for a coalition MP. Gillard would be better suited as ambassador or similar to the UK.

I doubt she has much choice, so she takes whatever morsel is being offered.

Gillard would only be looking for a job where she has influence and can do as much damage as possible.
Her pension would be more than most could dream about and she will be sucking the country dry for another 40 years or so until she finally kicks the bucket. Thank fuck she didn't breed.
