I paid about $60 for my latest android phone.
60 bucks? What is it?
Won't be anything near good enough if you want to run games, decent memory, screen res or battery life

I recommend one of these which I've had for 6 months. Great features, quality and excellent battery life. Easily on par with any Samsung and runs about $250

Xiaomi is the 3rd biggest phone manufacturer in the world behind Apple and Samsung.

Ive never heard of that brand IQ. I had a salesman at allphones recomend to my wife that he would buy a Huawei for three hundred bucks over a $1000 Samsung, but she went and bought the Samsung anyway.
That Xiaomi looks alright, where did you get it? It looks like you can get them on ebay or Kogan in Aus.

I got mine from www.sunsky-online.com but there's plenty of places on eBay and the like that sell them.
Highly recommended. Android 6 with MIUI skin and regular OTA updates.

Best phone bang for buck I've had and I've had everything from iPhones, Samsung and a few diffent China brands.
3GB RAM should be a minimum for phones for smooth running.

A ZTE B112 from ebay. You need to do your research though, as you need a different model for telstra vs optus network. There was an ebay discount involved also, not sure why.

I don't use the phone very often, so cannot vouch for how rugged it is. So far it has been a fully functional smart phone, except that I cannot get wifi screen casting to work.

If you want a real phone that has the BEST INTERFACE and security and integration with everything else its the iPhone. All electronic hardware manufacturers that require phone comms support it as a standard.

At the end of the day if you want to dick around with cheap Android hardware it is so cheap you can have both. It will probably get you by due to its lack of security. The interface will be more sucky.

Having said that APPLE SCREW hundreds of dollars more for price for nothing.
Just the Prick mentality their CEO has. Poofters.

ISIS Love Samsung's. They call them Holy hand grenades. Just throw and ring. BOOM.

Am typing this on a brand new Macbook Air ... as much as I like Apple devices I have never owned an iPhone - overpriced toys/status symbols to me. My phone is a Nextbit Robin and I love it. Got it for USD 169.

Mate Apple is overpriced in fact its getting ridiculous but I have to say the quality is top notch hardware and software wise. Its reaching nearly triple the price they should be it ridiculous.

I went into a Costco during a recent trip to the US. I could buy an I7 for cash at half the cost of what I pay in Australia. I would have needed to go on a plan for 12 months but even that was far cheaper than Aus. I have a MacBook Pro, Iphone and IPad and it integrates seamlessly. I really can't think of a better package that would do all it does.

I wouldn't mind having an iPhone but, for me at least, they just aren't worth the money. I have tried going cheap with laptops, especially the Chromebooks as most if not all of what I do is done by simply connecting to the internet, but Chromebooks are disposable devices and fit only for the rubbish bin after only a short time ...

Ive had iPhones from the 3, 4s, 5 but I refuse to spend that amount again on a phone that can't download torrent a movie directly to the phone.

I refuse to buy a phone where if you want to quickly chuck a bunch of songs and a couple of movies froman mates phone to yours, you find your ultra slim ergonomic beautifully designed phone that fits nicely in your pocket, needs you to carry around a fucking laptop with this horrendous bloatware called iTunes if you want a chance of even attempting it.

Android, I can connect to a mates phone 6 different ways and don't even need to carry a cable.
From anywhere else you can connect through USB or wifi and drag and drop like it's a flash drive.

I understand the attraction for people to iphones. They are well designed pieces of hardware connected to a software environment design by sadists so even the dumbest mong can't fuck anything up and they do this by restricting access to valuable interfacing that just so happens to allow access as long as you buy those movies and songs from Apple when you've already paid 3 times the market price for a similar hardware spec product.
