Throw as many red herrings to try and deflect as you want.

It doesn't change the fact the ALP relies on Greens support to prop them up to get anywhere near the leather seats and comcars.
I know it.
You know it.
The ALP knows it.
And you can sure as shit know that the Greens know it too.

So while the Greens are a tiny minority party and on their own, they couldn't introduce or influence shit, they are over the moon that they get to wield a big stick inside the ALP and push them around to get what they want, and the ALP will give it to them. All negotiated before an election has taken place.
The ALP will take unannounced Greens policies and implement them as payment for preferences surrendered.

The Greens hold the key to the door that blocks the ALP from the holy grail that is whispered in hushed tones around union meetings where hopeful delegates vie for preselection. It's legend permeates throughout ALP halls and folklore as the ultimate prize. The story is told that once you touch the holy grail, it needs to be immediately emptied and riches beyond your wildest dreams will line the pockets of you and your friends.
Upon its first discovery and realising it was filled with never ending treasure, the ALP deemed it magic.
It is the most highly coveted of all possessions within the ALP and there are some ALP sects that worship the grail religiously. They pray to dark spirits in the hope a sign will be revealed so they can locate it.

The ALP refers to it as "The Holy Vessel Of Other People's Money"
Everyone else calls it "Tax Thievery"

Nicely written, but at the moment just a nice bedtime story. The only people holding hands with green people are the Coalition. The greens change sides to get the best deal they can and the left and right get suckered in all the time. The greens are a diseased party that should die off as quickly as possible, but Mal is the one currently keeping them going and providing the money for their pork barrelling policies. The greens run the government at the moment because without them, Mal is stuffed. The kicker is, if he went to shorten and did his negotiation he may well get most of what he wants - but he would rather shack up with Doc Dic Doc and his bunch of cronies.

Nope, the Greens and the ALP are linked by their voters.

The ALP have already realised that they can't increase their primary vote no matter how much the LNP implodes.

So they will target the only votes available to them, the Greens.
They know they have to get the Greens voters to give them their primary votes to govern in their own right, so they intend to swing hard left.
They also know that if they dont, the Greens will target the ALP.
It's a far easier proposition for the Greens to pick off ALP primaries by moving right and appearing more moderate than it is for the ALP to move left as they risk alienating and reducing what remains of their primary vote.

Once the Greens get serious, they will hurt the ALP.
Even the union's recognised this years ago and started financing them to hedge their bets.

Here what the ALP have been hoping for...the Greens have gone the extreme nutcase route and leaving a clear path for the ALP to swing a little more left and change their carbon and energy policies to be a bit more idiotic than they currently are and claim "your power costs will increase, businesses will close due to energy costs and there will be more black out but hey....look at the barking mad Greens! We aren't anywhere near as batshit insane as those weirdo tree hugging watermelons!

In the process, they will try and skim the Greens voter base knowing there must be some of their voters that aren't completely insane and increase the ALP primary. ALP policy for all Australians will be designed specifically for a tiny minority of not quite batshit insane Greenies pushed one step too far to the left, all to increase the ALP primary a few % and the whole county suffers for it.

You could almost think the ALP/Greens have come up with this together behind locked doors.
The ALP/Greens party should be napalmed

THE Greens are planning to scrap NSW’s $25 billion coal industry with a new policy that will destroy tens of thousands of mining jobs, crush industry and potentially take the entire state back to the dark ages, with little or no electricity.

Federal Greens leader Richard Di Natalie and NSW MP Jeremy Buckingham will be in Newcastle — the state’s mining heartland — Friday to announce their plan to phase out all thermal coal mining in NSW by 2027.

Thermal coal is burned in power stations to make electricity here and abroad. NSW coal exports to 16 countries were worth $13.2 billion last year, and the industry spends about $11 billion a year on wages and with suppliers.

I must say IQ, you are a very effective writer. I don't necessarily agree with all your posts nor all of your ideology, but once a reader digs down through a lot of the hyperbole and sidetracks within your postings, you can post a compelling argument and back it up with a lucid and thoughtful structure
