However she has never been quoted (from what I can find anyway) as saying that is what she would or will pay. The article itself does state that African workers will work for $2 a day, but doesn't state where. It also states that Rinehart is importing workers for her mining operations but doesn't state what the pay rates would be. Some creative journalist has put a lot of statements together to come to the conclusion that Rinehart will pay African workers $2 a day to work in Australian mines - and that assertion is patently wrong. That could never happen under the laws and regulations we have in Australia!
