Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has had an on-air tantrum after warning Australian's to avoid Centrelink if they want to keep their personal information private.

Joyce, who later claimed he had been ambushed on The Project, was grilled about a push for new laws which would grant the government unprecedented rights to share veterans’ personal information as a means of countering complaints about welfare services.

"If you want to keep your information absolutely private, don't go and get the dole whilst you've also got a job," Joyce eventually blurted out on air.

The ABC charter says they have to be balanced yet the only conservative commentator they have on is Gerard and he only appears around 4-6 times a year.

The roids haven't even read the op. The government is trying to sneak a bill through that would allow DVA to publish veterans details. That is what Joyce was asked about. He got confused with the recent releasing of information by Centrelink when a woman complained. The idiot couldn't even articulate known facts properly! There are not many veterans on the dole - dva pays them, not centrelink

Most would consider that to be rorting the system or is claiming the dole whilst working something you consider a right? Either way I wouldn't think that Vets would be on the dole anyway.
