Dunno why I got started collecting old matchbox etc model cars. Was in an "antique" shop in Woodside in the Adelaide Hills and saw the old fashioned London double-decker bus and bought that and I was away. Second childhood? Because I didn't have toy cars as a kid? Fuck knows why but it is fun! I prefer them well-used. Nice to think of some kid playing with it and, typical boy, leaving the car/truck in the sand pit all winter

I also like the idea of them being used, the idea that children once played with them.
Interesting to imagine what sort of children they were, and what they're doing now.
