We could still go ahead without them as long a Bullshorten isn't in charge.

I can imagine just how fair and impartial your site is based on your behaviour here.

Shorten has been lying about the TPP being dead because the US pulled out... that is a lie...
We can still go ahead sans the US... it was originally drawn up to be able to add or subtract members. So I see no real problem with that. I don't get Trump's problems with it it will be more beneficial for them than not. They after all are the biggest economy involved in it. I guess he wants bilateral FTAs because he believes he can bully smaller countries into accepting even less fair deals. :du

Looks like the TPP is dead. Japan is not interested in continuing without the US.

I agree. We are pushing a dead issue as it is now Trumped. Without the US it is nothing. China will not sign up to this. Our politicians are fooling themselves and no-one else.

Trump interests me. He hasn't a diplomatic bone in his body, he probably couldn't tell the fish knife from the butter knife at an embassy knees up and he is a loud and brash highly successful business man. That's maybe what we need - a departure from these simpering right and left wing sycophants and a return to a no holds barred approach. Succeed or Fail, it will be a stamp on world politics forever. I quite like his way of doing things so far

Wayne,

I like some of the things he is doing too. He is keeping his promises. he has no idea on how to hold back and play the game like his tweets and outbursts and that may be his downfall.

I like this for example.

President Trump is threatening to “send in the Feds” unless Chicago gets a grip on its soaring crime rate.
The city’s leaders were put on notice after Mr Trump tweeted: “If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!” The warning appeared to be inspired by a report on crime in the city on Fox News, in which one guest referred to “carnage” on the streets.

It is time to address some of this carnage. Hoover would be proud.

I agree and we need to give him time before he is condemned. He's decisive, demands high performance, will be tough on ISIS, isn't likely to be swayed by lobbyists and minority groups, is committed to education, and won't kowtow and I think he will relate to Putin and other world leaders far better than Hillary ever could.

He's pro free enterprise and a strong military, knows how to make deals and really wants to make America great again. Why not let him see what he can do?
