Re: Storage-Batteries and Supercapacitors
Another typical whine from Rawsack with nothing of value added or commented on except hysterical screeching of READ MAH LINKS.
5-10 years Pie in the sky rubbish to get within earshot of an expensive inefficency layer on the network that the consumer will pay for and be subsidised by the taxpayer.
Storage is nothing but an inefficency layer in the network.
If it is not replacing base load/ grid reliance then it is a layer of uselessness.
Here's a question for you roach, see if you can answer it without referring to MAH LINKS or cut, paste and bold.
What is the point of battery storage that has to be connected to the grid to charge said storage?

Re: Storage-Batteries and Supercapacitors
let's see... you don't believe me when I say things, so when I provide links and quotes from experts etc... you don't believe them either.NARRATION
Our phones, our computers, modern life runs on lithium batteries. But there was one more step to making a battery for your home that was safe and affordable. It was this - the leap into electric cars. When they were first being designed, there were further fears that in that super-heated environment, lithium batteries were still a fire risk. So companies went back to the chemistry board to find other metal oxides, and batteries got even safer. All of a sudden, huge factories sprung up to churn out batteries for electric cars. And once they were being mass-produced, thoughts turned to another market - homes - and those are the batteries that are coming on stream now, with many companies deciding to launch first in Australia.
Dr Jonica Newby
Here, in Australia, we have a unique confluence. We are a place with a lot of sunshine, we are a tech-savvy community, we have high electricity costs, we have a population really wanting this change, and the world is watching.
NARRATION
So what do these new batteries mean for us? Are we all going to end up going off-grid? Well, no. Most experts see three main scenarios, and we've asked some early adopters to show us what they're doing. Option one is going off-grid altogether. This will appeal to many of us. To remote property owners where, even with lead-acid batteries, it's already cheaper, often than grid connection.
Stop wasting my time Aussie-Monk.

As I expected. A cut and paste and sweet fuck all from Rawsack except to display the furphy that going "off grid" is the magical cure for what doesnt ail ya.
No response on the layer of inefficiency of a battery for grid connected homes just a vague "it doesnt have to be"
Going off-grid is a solution for those that it is impractical to connect to the grid.
It is not cheaper and will also have a generator backup.
So for those that are connected to the grid, what is the purpose of having a battery, you dense motherfucker?
Try answering the question thoughtfully instead of cut and pasting and behaving like a little bitch.

Sorry that isn't the current claim. Strawman anyone? Watch the show. Stop being IGNORANT. Some systems are capable or running 24/7 those systems that don't... do enough to run a house, grid free, for 60% or more of the time. Cutting usage from the grid and hence making power cheaper. We already have panels sending surplus power back to the grid, now we have technology that allows us to send the excess powerto storage that is the point. When not running directly off the solar panels, the power is stored... which means at night power can be drawn from the batteries.Dr Jonica Newby

Nope wasn't even mentioned in any media about the products. The reason they are high is greed from electrical utilities that hit people without panel rebates for money to help pay the rebates for those with panels etc. We have gouging by utilities over the years particularly in NSW through IPART to allow price increase that were unwarranted.

Yes I did if you managed to understand any of the rest or bothered to watch the show or read the transcript that I so helpfully posted for everyone then YOU wouldn't be proving what a lying ignorant twat YOU are. Here you go a Mercedes that runs on AA batteries.

Not cost effectively

Power companies are forced to rebate solar panel grid return and that power is effectively wasted. it disappears into the ether

Because that would be the end game, otherwise it is completely useless which is my whole point, fuckstain

Lead acid have been around for years. Its high maintenance, costly and unenvironmentally friendly. Battery storage is trying to solve a problem that doesnt exist.
Thats because it "mostly" bullshit.

Yeah, I thought there would be nothing else from you, you gutless little fucktard.
Post some shitty links from a discredited ABC shit program and claim the world's alternate energy source is about to blow minds in the next 20 years.
You may as well start sending money to Seashepherds and think you'll be saving whales.
Jeezus, you are fucking even stupider than you show yourself to be.
That's quite an effort, even for you.
Now cut and paste and bold

Whine whine, yell yell, abuse abuse abuse...
You really take the cake... you didn't read the information.
You didn't watch the show.
You haven't learned anything and are still living in the past.
You make up strawmen and fail to actually refute anything factually. Oh my what a giant intellect YOU are. Go Monk Go Aussie, you are both those morons rolled into one.
