Grammar and etcetera

Post by Neferti » Thu Jan 12, 2017 5:53 pm

I know that I annoy certain people by saying "I care less" but it is a common phrase in the USA ... no idea where I picked it, maybe the "late" hubby. It still means that I (couldn't) CARE LESS.

I see Monk using STUPIDER .... :rofl IF you don't know what to say, say nothing. Stupid is more than enough but if you really want to call a person MORE than STUPID ... do so. Check the online Dictionary for clues. :rofl

OzPol is becoming a source of much amusement. The Leftards are carrying on about the new POTUS and Hollywood people are outing themselves as LEFTARDS. Very "stupider". LOL

Carry on. :rofl

I don't think it's only the left who have bad grammar Neferti. It annoys me when I hear people say eg. more stupider. I was picked up on I could care less years ago. When I thought about it - "I couldn't care less" and "I could care less" actually mean two different things.

Some people might think you're saying "I careless", but that would only be when you speak it. Anyway not too many people seem to care anymore about grammar. There are so many dialects around now and with texting - words are spelt the way they sound or worse.
