THE man who bashed his seven-month-old nephew leaving him a quadriplegic has been sentenced to eight and half years in jail today.

Andrew Nolan’s attack in September 2014 left baby Bobby Webber with multiple skull fractures caused by blunt force trauma, blood pooling in the eyes, carpet burn marks on his forehead, fractured vertebrae, bruised genitalia, and bite marks on his little body.


Andrew Nolan was sentenced to jail for bashing his nephew.
His parents, Barry and Elise Webber, who were on their honeymoon at the time of the attack, were told their son would not live and they were advised to turn off the life support.

The Webbers left their son and his two older sisters in the care of Elise’s mother and sister and her fiance, Mr Nolan.

Mrs Webber said they were disappointed with the verdict.

“We are very hurt, we expected close to the maximum penalty, we’re quite disappointed,” Mrs Webber said.
