Oh man. That is so true. My 9 year old get a prize for everything.

I had to work hard and be number one to get a prize. (Probably why I didn't win many)

Now they turn up, and get one for participating.

When I was young I had the view "It is not the participation that counts, it's the winning". Are we breeding losers.

I admit that it does create the attitude that if I cannot be good at it, I don't want to do it.

The namby pambies are turning our kids soft or worst in disciplined with no respect for anyone. In my day I remember a stranger giving me a think ear for some backchat, today they would serve 6 months in jail. I learned respect of elders and never back chatted my seniors (unless they were complete prats) today they don't care and feel protected by the law that says they can do what they like and no-one can hurt me.

Nothing wrong with a little fear of consequences to learn some respect.

Indeed! On the one hand it's funny because these wimps don't dare challenge me - most of them can't even look me in the face, then creep off to tell their neo-poofy face metalled friend what a psycho-redneck I am.
But on a deeper level it worries me, because the future of my nation (and most of the Westernised world including the Japs) is going to be walked over by the fitter, smarter and just more generally emotionally secure youth of the 3rd world.

To me it's the most glaring example of our civilisation (and culture) in decline ... soon to be extinguished ... save for a fascist public backlash.

So what happens if Clinton wins, does someone assassinate her? Do the streets run red?

What if Trump wins to we have rioting and civil disobedience?

Is America doomed to become even more divided than it is already?

Whether Trump wins or loses it means big changes for the Republicans. If he wins it will shake up the party that much more and the fallout will be harder. If he wins it means that not just a Democrat will win in 2020 but someone far to the left of Hillary.
