Re: US Presidential race
POTUS is TRUMP ... his speech brought tears to my eyes for some reason .... I think he is SINCERE .... he loves America and wants it to be what it was when he was young ... doubt he can do it but an admirable wannabe ....
First FEMALE President should NOT be somebody who has already been First Lady but somebody with an entirely different agenda and MUCH, much younger. Probably a female Republican.

Bought a copy of today's Australian and the front page story has Clinton winning with a late surge.
Hooked up to the WiFi at the library and the first thing up was Trump is President elect.
The Australian shows the Reps winning both congress and senate, so with the Presidency wrapped up as well, that spells quite a kick up the arse for the Dems.
Anybody disputing the Western world has taken a hard right turn must be living in fantasy land.

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Dear Mrs Clinton
Now that you have some spare time on your hands, I'd like to invite you to my place to catch flies.

I have Foxtel so watched that ALL day. Trump's speech was tear-jerking to me. He LOVES America with a passion and I felt it and I am an Aussie.
Well done American people. It was the better decision.

That's about the sum of it and for very obvious reasons.Outlaw Yogi wrote:Anybody disputing the Western world has taken a hard right turn must be living in fantasy land.

Did you really think Hillary was a ring-in? Thankfully she lost ... USA need a first female POTUS but a much, much younger woman.skippy wrote:Yep. You called it as did IQ.Outlaw Yogi wrote:Bought a copy of today's Australian and the front page story has Clinton winning with a late surge.

I think that Donald might turn out better than you think. He can actually be humble.

I don't think any country necessarily NEEDS a female head. Why?Neferti~ wrote:Did you really think Hillary was a ring-in? Thankfully she lost ... They need someone capable who they can potentially trust and someone they believe will enact change, if change is needed. Just look at Merkel. Useless woman who has totally ruined Europe.
It should not have anything to do with gender and, personally, I don't know of any females I would vote for at this stage. Look at all the nutjobs who want Penny Wong as our next Prime Minister because she is female. She doesn't even bring femininity to the table.
Trump could well be seen as the best President the US has seen since Reagan. Time till tell though.

His acceptance speech was the most humble I've heard him speak.Neferti~ wrote:Did you really think Hillary was a ring-in? Thankfully she lost ... I don't care that Clinton lost I'm not a fan of either of them.
But I never expected him to win.
