This is awesome, thanks for posting this link Jovial Monk. I'm looking at a 1914 edition of the Advertiser. Look at all the cool local businesses we had before the big boys took over, including an ad for the old John Martin's store. Lots of stories about Germany and other WWI updates. Fuck, I think I'll be on this site all day.

It IS fucking awesome, eh? I was reading some of the war histories--in WWI a big convoy of troop transports and merchantmen missed the German commerce raider the Emden by 50Km or so!

Some of that stuff could perhaps be used in a lesson? Bet kids would be interested in reading some of the old newspapers!
