Brendan Fevola was sacked by Carlton for being drunk and disgracing himself at the Brownlow Medal night. He was a presenter and covering the Brownlow Presentation event in what could be described as a slightly maggotty condition , being a dick in general and over excited he was giving Judd a bit of a hard time and why not ?

I think this a bit harsh and I'm surprised, he is one of Carltons key players . Football players have their moments , we all know it, so I dont really get it.

In contrast, Judd was let off with eye gouging ..again!!

Seems there have been tensions between Judd and Fevola in what may be a battle of egos.

I am surprised they canned him over this rather than just a fine, public apology, alcohol counciling, yadda yadda yadda.

On talk radio I herd some AFL big wig state Favola should be punished severely because mothers were deciding what sport their kids were going to play and they wanted to make the AFL more female friendly. They don't want to go the Rugy route.

But these guys are sports players; they are not priests or rocket scientists. And I think every sport needs their rowdy, bad boys, (what you gonna do, what you gonna do when they sack you/) it adds to the entertainment.

Even tennis needs the bad boys, if tennis had nothing but Federer or Samprass, no McEnroe or Hewitt it would be boring as bat shit.

I wonder who will pick Favola up? I say Richmond goes for him, they have Ben Cousins and they should get Barry Hall too and become the Oakland Raiders (a team so nasty gangs like to wear their jerseys) of the AFL, the mad, bad and dangerous team to know.

Excatly ..the media trotted out the same dead horse when Ben Cousins suffered his public burning at the stake. Mothers and Dads be your own childs moral compass, dont rely on hapless sports heroes to do your job , they have no interest in being surrogate godparents. Humans make mistakes .I think the AFL is already "female friendly" enough

I was a loyal West Coast supporter unil they cannabilised one of their own and I became a Tiger when Cousins was picked up [ they had better come good in 2010 or I hand back my badge- ] . I have no idea skippy. I just know NRL has no appeal for me..I think AFL men are nicer to look at. Having said that Sonny Bill is gorgeous even if he isnt very bright, and thats saying something in the game of AFL/Rugby. Intelligence and good looks as a rule dont usually come in the same package, so its a sad dilemma for me *sigh*

AFL is far more exciting to watch, a faster free flowing game.

I find it hard to watch, maybe it would be better on a wide screen, I don't hate AFL, I played it for a year, I think if you lived in an AFL state you'd get more into it.

Not to worry, I like Collingwood partly because when I lived in Melbourne everyone else hated them.

But I am not a fanatic, at least not about AFL.

The players are better looking and if you live in southern Australia, it's bred and educated into you. I know more men who hate AFL than women.
