Re: Happy
Happiness is. . .
. . .finding a brand new SciFi book I bought awhile ago and havn't read yet. . .
. . .bit dampened by it being a collection of short stories! Dammit! I want a big novel I can get my teeth into! (Metaphorically, of course, I do not eat my books!)
Are you a history buff? Try Neal Stephenson's "Quicksilver" not scifi, altho he writes that, but puts you there where it is happening, Newton, Leibnitz, the American colonies, warding off pirates etc etc!

Much the same as you Frogen. My kids, my husband, all the other things you said, although I prefer tea to coffee. Art is also one of the things that moves me the most. When you see kids realise they can do something or do understand something when you teach it is pretty good too.JWFrogen wrote:My son, a great book, Spring, free time, good conversation, great coffee, good comedy, my wife, ah hell the list is too long and boring.
I guess I am lucky.
And giving gifts that people like is nice.
Re: Happy
Tomcats were back last night , so I caught up on some reading[ work not pleasure] and finally got to bed at some ungodly hour.
It would make me very happy to send these badboys packing for good.
My kids make me happy of course, my best friend and 'confidante', when he is not being a complete dick, and all the usual stuff like good movies, yes coffee/tea, art, (doing as well as appreciating) photography , again doing.
I used to love reading but after being bogged down in a Social Work degree/teaching course, it kind of lost its appeal ,Im sure that will return.
My kids are capable, and creative. That makes me happy too. To know they will be ok when Im not here anymore.

That and I do not like whiners very much so I would probably just council them to shut the fuck up and have a beer.
or invest in 2 copies of "the Bride Stripped Bare" , read it together in bed, whilst knocking back a good beer ( compromise Frogen )
