I am a Victorian by birth and I don't watch football, never have but it used to be VFL when I lived there. I actually had to Google to find out who the Western Bulldogs were as I had never heard of them .... once I Googled, I found that they used to be called Footscray back when I lived in Melbourne. Apparently they haven't won anything for about 60 years, no wonder I hadn't a clue who they were.

I have no idea about Rugby ... except that is where they run, hug the other guys and fall down on the ball.

Being born and bred in Sydney I do follow the rugby league, opposed to the rugby union.
Rugby union is played in private boys schools while league is a working class game played in public schools.
Funny, while I consider myself working class I actually went to a boys school and played union not league.
That said I support the Bulldogs in rugby league but I also like the AFL and support St Kilda. I played a couple of seasons of aussie rules after I left school.
I was pleased to see the Western Bulldogs win today.
I hope the Sharks win tomorrow.
