Standing up to China

Post by mantra » Tue Sep 06, 2016 11:30 am

Better late than never, but blocking the sale of Ausgrid to a Chinese state owned company was a decision which will win Scott Morrison some brownie points. Let's hope he can keep up the good work. Pity Abbott or Hockey didn't block the 99 year lease of Darwin Port. If Morrison can maintain this stance on protectionism - the Coalition might have a chance of being returned next term.

The criticism surrounding Sam Dastyari for his acceptance of bribes is well deserved also. Shorten needs to force Dastyari to resign if he has any hope of becoming the next PM. A gentle reprimand is not enough. He needs to act decisively and ASAP.

Australians are worried about the infiltration of communist China. Even before the free trade agreement - the Chinese were buying up everything they could get their hands on. What is our Foreign Review Board doing about this? They are supposed to block any Chinese state owned conglomerates from purchasing property or businesses here, but that has been overlooked since the Coalition won government. There is a cap on purchases - but that has been ignored too.

Labor has also turned a blind eye to the slackness of the Foreign Review Board. The Coalition and Labor have opened the door to the Chinese government and regardless of Turnbull claiming that he's in China at present playing the diplomat - he's only trying to placate their whinging because he's gutless.

Someone needs to be strong. Maybe Scott Morrison might be that person.

Make me your dictator and I will wipe my arse with the ChAFTA documents, incite a boycott of both export and import trade with China, and rather than waste time on Freedom of Navigation sail bys and fly overs, I'll send SAS in to capture the disputed islets. Then then invite the disputed owning nations to militarily occupy the Chinese built infrastructure.
And to limit China's retaliation I'd get as many countries as possible to block China's internet access.
That would potentially exclude their influence to Pakistan, North Korea, Russia and a few African nations.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Why are we being so generous with a communist country where human rights don't exist?

Suddenly we're hearing this propaganda to placate us plebs that the UK has the largest foreign ownership here and China only has a .5 ownership. I don't believe this for a second. The Foreign Investment Review Board has never kept a log of who buys what and for how much. Now -suddenly this pathetic figure has been pulled out of thin air. What a farce. The only truth they've disclosed is that China is buying up our assets quicker than any other foreign nation.

Aside from their quickly advancing occupation of Australia - their disregard of human rights is sickening. Forget their disgusting cruelty to animals, political prisoners, the poor and the elderly - they don't even make a pretense of caring for their children. The ramifications are horrific. There is no-one to look after these abandoned children.
Around 61 million children are left behind in China's rural villages and towns while their parents work in the big cities.

But to grasp the full extent of the plight of the left-behind kids you have to travel to where there is no help from the authorities.

In the town of Xichehe in the neighbouring Hunan province, 80 per cent of the children are growing up without parents.

From time to time, some parents return home to visit their children. But many are never seen again.
