I have several email friends in the US. Mostly we don't talk politics, except for one guy who is a staunch Republican. He loathes Obama, can't stand Hillary, but strangely enough, hasn't made any comments about Trump, one way or the other, which is rather odd. Another guy is also a Republican and the only reason I know that is because of all the "fwds" he sends, plus he "hates" Obama ... he sent me the above James Woods stuff.

I heard a very sensible radio commentator saying that the thing he didn't mind about Trump was that he was anti-globalisation which overrode a lot of his faults. It's probably a bit late to stop it now and the US relies on a global market, but the thought of an insular America would appeal to a lot of people.

Lots of Americans love Obama and his popularity is on the rise again. Hillary is not loved. The best she can do is ride the wave of Obama's popularity. Ex-presidents, even bad ones, see their popularity rise after they leave office. I wonder what Obama is going to do with his popularity after he leaves office? You can bet he won't be retiring ...

Me too.

Have any of yours said anything .... anything ... about Trump? I haven't actually asked them but they haven't been saying anything and these people always VOTE even though it isn't "compulsory" in the USA.

My friends always vote and they haven't mentioned Trump. I must ask some of them.

"The State Department's Inspector General has determined that Hillary Clinton violated agency policies on record-keeping, according to a report it released to lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday."

What will this mean for Hillary?

Imagine if Clinton had to pull out of the race.
Sanders would be last man standing.
What a contrast Sanders verse Trump.
Funny, if it happened.

Trump vs Clinton = Trump because Hilary is crooked and will be exposed over emails and Benghazi.

Trump vs Sanders = Trump because America won't vote for a socialist.

I doubt they will vote for a fool either.
Although George w did get a second term.
I don't think Sanders is anymore socialist than Carter.
But Trump is a bigger fool than George Dubbya, and that's really saying something.
The world has gone mad, anything is possible.
