All the shows I mentioned are better than whats on tv now I own them can watch them any time I like

I meant that they have stopped producing those shows, so what you are watching are repeats.

I was discussing new TV shows and/or new Seasons/Series of shows. Otherwise I would have mentioned ones which are no longer being produced but are still playing (as repeats), such as:

Inspector George Gently
Foyles War
Judge John Deed
Scott & Bailey
DCI Banks
Dalziel & Pascoe
Law & Order UK

All were good shows.

I've watched the Judge John Deed, DCI Banks and Inspector Gently series. It's a pity that there are no new ones. Brenda Blethyn is also very good in Vera. She's on par with her male competition in similar shows.

Season 6 (2016) of Vera has just finished on Foxtel, so you might see that on the ABC or one of the commercial channels soon. I notice that there is a Season 7 listed for 2017, so more of Vera coming. They are still showing repeats of earlier Seasons of Vera on one of the other Foxtel Channels. There are 3 that show UK TV programs, as you would know.

Why? She's playing a part of a dumpy old lady who is "smart". Big deal. Here she is in real life.

Rorschach,

Have you watched WALLANDER with Kenneth Branagh (now Sir Kenneth). Set in Sweden but the main actor is British (Irish).

I recorded Line of Duty, Season 3, Episode 1 and watched it earlier today. Lots of "bad coppers" ... as my Scottish email friend said, it is "gripping". I had already considered one Cop a "feral" then he got it .......... geeze.

I have also recorded Season 2 of Shetland .... so far 2 episodes. I enjoyed the first season ... set in Shetland, Scotland. I haven't started watching this ... yet.

Yes, but prefer the original series.

I didn't even know there was an "original" so I Googled. Krister Henriksson as Wallander. Which channel showed this with sub-titles? Can you see the original now, any where?
