On inspection, found a huntsman had laid and hatch her eggs under my bed. F..k man, that is a memory burned in your mind forever.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Scares me just to think about it.

I will NOT go to sleep in my bed with a Huntsman in the house .... it has to be D.E.A.D. I know that they are "harmless" but ..........
Many time walk through the bush on the Murrumbidgee at night, walk into a spiders web strung across the path and ended up with a spider square in the middle of my face.... you learn to be more careful.
Just going outdoors in the evening, if the mozzies don't get you, a spider web will ............. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk

I read somewhere that 15 people were hospitalised in Canberra with REDBACK spider bites in 2015. Fortunately, there is an anti-venom available. Nobody has died since about 1950?
LOL. You get used to spiders if you live in their environment. When my son was only about two he started talking about " Sammy" that lives in his room. We thought it was his imaginary friend but then found out it was the numerous Huntsman that live in our place. He is not afraid of spiders and still calls Huntsman "Sammy". :rofl

I am used to them, or at least I was.

My daughter is going to freak out on our next visit, it has been 5 years. She hates flies, mossies and spiders. Bugs are a worry as well.

I have noticed I have stopped scanning the side of the road for roos and watching 3 metres ahead when I walk off the beaten track.... not good. Been away from home too long.

I don't particularly like spiders but I won't kill them. I catch them and release them outdoors. Funnel webs I catch and give to the university for venom.

I think it's sad that people kill things just because they are afraid of them.

Snakes usually disappear before you see them.

Articles like this. Over Easter.................

Shark encounter prompts Cronulla beach closures

Two beaches at Cronulla, in southern Sydney, have been closed after a surfer reported being knocked from his board by a shark.

Surf Life Saving NSW said an unidentified species of shark approached the man about 11:00am.

The surfer was not injured in the incident. An alarm was sounded warning people not to enter the water, a witness told the ABC.

Cronulla resident Graeme Cole was heading to the beach for a swim when he noticed how deserted the beach was.

"I noticed that the surf was quite empty and for an Easter Monday it's normally quite busy," Mr Cole said.

"It was quite surprising but disturbing at the same time."

However, Mr Cole said some people were flouting the warning from surf lifesavers.

"Most people were staying out of the water, sensibly," he said.

"Some people were paddling around and having a little body surf at South Cronulla Beach but on the main beaches, people have heeded the warning."

He said it came just weeks after a shark was seen nearby.

"We haven't had any attacks along the Cronulla beachfront for decades," he added.

"There was a sighting of a white pointer a few weeks ago and of course people will often see sharks around the area, but this is quite unusual."

Surf Living NSW said Cronulla and North Cronulla beaches would be shut for at least 24 hours.

There seems to be many more sightings this year than I've ever known.
Many of the beaches around here were closed for days on end over summer.

And another Shark bite.

Man attacked by shark at Kiama on NSW south coast

A man has been attacked by a shark at Kiama, near Wollongong, on the New South Wales south coast.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said he had suffered a serious leg injury.

Emergency services were called to the north end of Bombo Beach shortly after 7:00pm.

Police said the 22-year-old Kiama Downs man was surfing at the time of the attack.

A police statement said the man told officers he was attacked about 100 metres offshore, but did not see the shark.

He was assisted to the beach by a friend.

Police said paramedics treated the man for leg and hand injuries, and he was flown to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

Check this out. Cannot work out how to insert the video here, it is 30 secs.

Great white shark lunges at two jet skiers in Queensland

Two jet skiers in Queensland narrowly avoided a shark attack after a great white lunged at them.

Libby Williams was jet skiing with another person off Fraser Island in southern Queensland when they slowed down after noticing the shark swimming nearby.

But in their attempt to get a close-up, the pair dodged an unexpected attack from the five-metre long shark which suddenly bit the jet ski, just missing William's leg.

"I literally had to move my leg so it didn't get mauled," said Williams said in a Facebook post who filmed the incident from her GoPro.

Williams also said: "But notice the lack of screams? I think I must have been too scared".

The video has been viewed more than 6,000 times since it was posted a week ago with some viewers saying the incident was "a bit too close for comfort" while others commented that it looked "terrifying but so cool".

The great white shark is an internationally protected species and is currently listed as vulnerable in Australia.

Wouldn't even make the news if it was a lion in Africa.

People feed them, leave rubbish for them and wonder why they bother us.

Remember the last major outdoor dinning drama a dingo was involved in.

Toddler attacked by wild dog on WA beach near Kooljaman resort on Cape Leveque

A two-year-old girl has been bitten by a wild dog in Western Australia's remote north while her family were having a beach picnic.

The Karratha-based Dwyer family was holidaying at the Kooljaman resort at Cape Leveque, 220km north of Broome, on Friday evening when the attack occurred.

Christine Dwyer, 27, said they were having an evening picnic on the beach when the animal approached her daughter Stella and attempted to steal her stuffed toy elephant.

"[Stella] tried to crawl away and was crying and it just ran back in and grabbed her on the lower back and buttock," Ms Dwyer said.

"It tried to drag her backwards but it only got maybe six inches."

Ms Dwyer said resort staff were walking down to the beach as the drama unfolded.

"They were very helpful, they continued to shoo it away and took us up to the nurses to make sure she didn't need any tetanus injections or anything like that, and just clean up the little scratches and puncture wounds that she received through the nappy," she said.

'Nuisance' animal had been annoying guests for months

The wild dog is understood to be the same animal that has been stealing rubbish from the local tip for the past few months.

"They (the staff) actually informed us that this one dingo has been a nuisance since January and that they've requested on numerous occasions to have it dealt with but it hasn't happened," Ms Dwyer said.

"Talking to people here there are numerous stories of it starting to be a pest and annoy people on the beach and be just a bit too brazen.

"We were a little bit disappointed in the sense that if they've known that it's been a nuisance for three months, why does it take for it to actually bite or attack before somebody acts?"

Resort staff had laid traps for the animal on the night of the attack, but failed to catch it.

Ms Dwyer said rangers from the Shire of Broome went to the resort on Saturday and shot a small female dog, which it turned out was not the one that bit Stella.

However, it is believed the animal has since been destroyed.

I recently watched "The Snow Wolf Family and Me".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04ww480

He very obviously wasn't out there "all alone" sleeping in a tent, but he did get quite close to some of the wolves and I kept yelling at the screen "they are NOT your friends" ........

Nor are dingos ..... or even the neighbour's dog, or the dog you see down the street!
