We have Netflix and even though the Aussie content is not as extensive as US Netflix I read that they will be snapping up more shows as their Foxtel contracts run out.

I'd really like to cut the cable - it's expensive and full of shit TV shows that I never watch. Am thinking of going with Hulu plus keeping the Netflix. But my wife likes to watch Major League Baseball (I don't) and soccer (I can take it or leave it) and these channels are in our cable package. But. Baseball has a reasonably priced streaming option at http://mlb.mlb.com and soccer has several depending on what league you want so I may have to get those too ... for her. I hate giving my money to big corporations and that is what cable TV is ...

I just watch free to air... more stations than ever before... some are rather repetitive or restricted in their content even... but if you cant occupy yourself for 24 hours a day with that choice you have severe issues.

My son decided he wanted Netflix but I couldn't have cared less as I DL everything I want to watch. He was getting concerned about the government initiative.

Anyway he went ahead and signed up and it only costs $11.99 per month.

I've had Foxtel (satellite) for about 7-8 years now. There is absolutely nothing I want to watch on Free-to-Air TV. I don't watch "News", I prefer to read and research what is going on in The World, rather than listen to some "talking head" waffle on. I don't even watch the "News" that Foxtel has.

I enjoy watching:

* National Geographic
* Crime Channel
* Discovery
* BBC Knowledge
* UK TV
* Life Style
* BBC First
* 13th Street
* Life Style Food
* Arts

Plus all the Movie Channels (10 I think)

I can also RECORD all this stuff to watch later plus download (my Foxtel is connected to WiFi) movies, programs, etc that I "missed" and I can also get new released Movies.

I do NOT have the Sports channel.

I am happy with my Foxtel package. I use it a LOT.

I also use Steam to play computer games. Has anyone heard of "Bully ... Scholarship Edition"? A friend gifted me this game and I have never heard of it.
