Didn't know that.... there's a surprise.

However in this case we should follow.

But we need to accept that Australia will become a target for more proactive ISIS activity.

Removing dual citizenship is a very good idea. For those other people who have been here for decades and never bothered to apply for citizenship - it might seem harsh to be returned to your birth country, but we've got to think of our future.

I thought he would be announcing troops on the ground. That I don't agree with.

Every second piece of mail I am receiving at present has Turnbull's face on it. I have a bi-election coming up and for the first time ever I doubt I will vote for the Libs.

Trump is correct. I saw the same thing on the day. I rang a work mate in Dubai and they were celebrating. He told me it was Bin Laden. They all knew. First time I heard of the guy.

Trump reframes claim that Muslims cheered 9/11

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday reframed his claim that he saw Muslims in Jersey City, New Jersey, cheering the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan on Sept. 11, 2001 by asserting the sentiment was shared worldwide.

"Worldwide, the Muslims were absolutely going wild," the real estate mogul said at a campaign rally in Sarasota, Florida.

Trump came under fire a week ago for saying at another rally and in a nationally televised appearance that he watched thousands of people in Jersey City cheer the World Trade Center's implosion. Fact checkers debunked his claim.

Still, the race ahead of the November 2016 presidential election has taken a sharp turn toward focusing on terrorism in the aftermath of the attacks in Paris two weeks ago. Trump has been among the most vocal of the Republican candidates in raising skepticism about Muslims living in the United States. When prompted by a reporter, he said he would not oppose creating a national database that tracks Muslims in the country.

The controversial remarks may be taking a toll on Trump, who has seen his support in Reuters/Ipsos opinion polling of Republican voters nationally take a sharp downturn in the past week. In the past five days, he dropped 12 points from 43 percent to 31 percent, although he continues to hold a wide lead over his competitors.

Trump used ample time in his remarks to point out how far ahead he is in opinion polling in many states, and he defended his recent commentary.

To back up his claims of seeing spectators celebrate 9/11, this week Trump cited a 2001 Washington Post article that mentioned authorities detaining a number of people in Jersey City who had allegedly celebrated the attack on rooftops with views of the site. The article was written by Serge Kovaleski, who has a disability and now writes for the New York Times.

The Post article did not say the authorities' allegations had been corroborated and Kovaleski has said in interviews since Trump cited his article that he has no recollection of his reporting producing evidence of hundreds or thousands of people celebrating.

In his speech, Trump sought to distance himself from appearing to have mocked the reporter during an event Tuesday night.

"I would never mock a person that has a disability," Trump told the cheering crowd. "I'm telling you, I would never do it."

With reports mounting of Trump's rallies growing rough, the candidate urged his audience to be polite to a heckler who briefly brought the Sarasota event to a halt.

"Be nice to the person. Don't hurt the person," he instructed the crowd, which cheered him loudly when he told security personnel to escort the heckler from the room. "Do you see how diplomatic I've become?"

That isn't what Trump said initially. He said he saw a video of Muslims, thousands of Muslims, cheering in New Jersey. "Reframe" is not the word I would use in this case. Trump is a bully and is now mocking the disabled publicly.

I'm not an ideologue for anything, other than maybe anarchism lite, so the closest others could probably accurately label me is a libertarian. That's why I don't support the left or right ideologically, materially or even in spirit. But as I've stated previously, public political sentiment is like a pendulum swinging back and forth, and when the political landscape swings too far one way, the public backlash usually swings back to an even greater extreme.

So I'm annoyed with both sides of the political spectrum in this nation, because the Liberal party brought in a heap of migrants who hate us, and the Labor party has given them gravy trains to placate them. Now our govt has a mandate to make us live in a surveillance/police state because bunches of thieving religious psychotics want to make our country conform to their anachronistic perversions.

In case you hadn't noticed the ever increasing Islamist/salafist/jihadi pradigm's intent to generate fear in the democratic Western world is causing the general public to take a hard Right turn, and the result wont just be hatred for Muslims, but malice for the Left.

You may as well kiss the Human Rights Commission, Equal Opportunity Boards, Anti-discrimination Boards, Office for Status of Women, Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism, ect ect goodbye. Because when not if the corporate world collapse comes there will be nothing to stop fascism taking over when govts can no longer afford pumping endless resources into police/security agencies and the judiciary - Hello Robocop /Judge Dred.

While I'm not looking forward to totalitarian fascism, which will probably take quite some time to dissipate or politically crush, I will be glad to see the Human Rights Commission, Equal Opportunity Boards, Anti-discrimination Boards, Office for Status of Women, Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism ect amalgamated into the Department of Frilly Undies (like Department of Silly Walks), for which there will be zero funding.

As for Islam per se? It will be crushed, as will eventually all religions, but in the meantime feel free to walk your pet pig past the local mosque or wipe your arse on pages of the Koran.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Was hoping the shooters in SoCal wouldn't be Muslims because the last thing America needs is any more anti-Muslim sentiment but I see that they do have Muslim names ...
