Correct Grammar
Is it...
A) She patted the dog.
Or
B) She pat the dog.
I think B is the correct answer , however Bart thinks it's A.

Neither context nor tense can even remotely turn "she pat the dog" into any semblance of good grammar.
"She pats the dog" present tense or "she patted the dog" past tense.
"She pats the dog" present tense or "she patted the dog" past tense.

None of us are experts in English comprehension. I can't see a problem with using either phrase and I'll stick to that.
