Why are they responding to ignorant trolls?

What cat cull?
The Americans can get pretty wound up about our efforts to control feral pests. Tell them about the horse culls on Fraser and up north.

Kill them... kill them all.
Give the local wild life a chance. They are too efficient at killing and breeding and don't belong in Australia.
Feral introduced species have no rights to continued existence if they kill aussie animals. That's why we broke away from Gondwanaland in the first place.
We should breed more cat eating dropbears and kangawollafoxes.

Cats kill a lot of native animals, but so do hunters and wild dogs. Then there is the eradication of so much native habitat caused through development and mining. The extinction of so many species is due to many causes and shooting or poisoning all stray cats will not solve the problem.

That probably wouldn't be a problem if they bothered to kill them humanely, but I can see the cats being strung up -skinned and alive in shop windows. With the looming Chinese invasion - thanks to the FTA - no doubt some greedy little premier will give them permission to do this.freediver wrote:They should let the Chinese restaurants serve cat.

I doubt anything kills as many natives as cats. Hunters don't go round killing thousands of lizards. About the only natives they shoot are roos. It makes no sense that the significance of the problem is an argument against doing something about it. It's like a climate change denier saying we shouldn't cat GHG emissions because farm runoff is also destroying the reef.

Tell them to stop culling their blacks and school kiddies, and then we'll consider relocating our cats to New Zealand, instead of cullingfreediver wrote:What cat cull?
