Yes - the oldest daughter - so she's a widow at 14. The grandmother claims her daughter made only one mistake, but she made at least two, by allowing her young daughter to get married to a notorious jihardist. I know many mums who object to their sons in law (not mine, she loves me) .... that doesn't stop the daughters marrying them. Ultimately the mother was helpless and couldn't have stopped her daughter marrying him if she really wanted to.

If the mother had been responsible, she would have remained in Australia and prevented the marriage. Marriage to a minor is still a criminal offence here. Even the grandmother calls her granddaughter a "widow" as if the child is suffering because she lost her husband. What sort of thinking is that? We don't have 14 year old widows in Australia. If the mother is fortunate enough to be allowed back here - she should be charged and imprisoned for being a conspirator in this arranged marriage.

yes the mother was an idiot, but she's not the first and won't the the last to make a stupid decision because she's in love. That's still not sufficient reason to punish the kids.
