The fact there are 750,000 people unemployed and only 150,000 job vacancies show that even if all jobs were filled we would still have 600,000 people who want to work... out of work.
Off topic - but foreign labour, including the prolific use of 457 visas is having an effect on national employment. An example...
Australian-trained nurses and midwives are being locked out of the workforce as hospitals hire thousands of skilled migrants every year, a new report reveals.

The national union representing 240,000 nurses, midwives and assistants warned the federal government that thousands of graduates missed out on jobs because healthcare employers were signing up foreign workers with temporary 457 visas.

As many as 33 per cent of nurses and midwives who finished their training last year were jobless and many were employed as casuals and wanted more hours, said the report.

Only 15 per cent of graduate respondents had found secure employment in the industry.

How many more conservatives need to speak out against this bullshit, before the Abbott govt gets the message. Revoking the citizenship of Australians on the whim of a politician is a fucked up idea... surely you don't need "prog's" to explain this to you...

Well I think it's a logical and sensible idea.
You have yet to explain why it isn't.

Because, if you put such power into the hands of politician, without some serious and effective oversight, eventually, they will abuse it.

If such precedents had been set 50 years ago, you'd see socialist being rendered stateless, and being detained indefinitely.

The freedom we once had has gone unfortunately. As harsh as it might seem in revoking the passports of all dissenters, dual or not, it's a serious warning which hopefully will make these people think twice about where their loyalties lie. We're paying for their unpatriotic adventures. They leave their families behind to be taken care of by the taxpayer and then return to resume their life as if nothing had happened.

And the country would be a better fukkin place for it, the thought of the Triggses Boxys and the Hanson Youngs copping it up the first hole from the back of the neck by a Keysar Trad lookalike in some detention centre on a tropical island made from birdshit makes me fukken smile

So socialists were going around beheading people and plotting to kill ordinary innocent Australians?
