Manspreading

Post by mantra » Wed Jun 03, 2015 3:47 am

It's about time men kept their legs together.

In New York you can now be arrested under a new law called "subway etiquette", which means some blokes think it's their right to sprawl on a seat with their legs apart taking up room which interferes with the comfort of other passengers.

We teach our daughters to keep their legs together, but we need to start teaching our sons to do it too.

Two men were arrested for "manspreading" and taking up too much room on the New York City subway, documents have revealed.

The Police Reform Organising Project (PROP) collected 117 vignettes of citizens' interactions with police for a report on the New York Police Department's attitudes to race and class.

"Police officers had arrested two Latino men on the charge of 'manspreading' on the subway, presumably because they were taking up more than one seat and therefore inconveniencing other riders," according to the report.

I ride the train in Atlanta most every day. The seats are such that manspreading isn't a possibility as this video shows:

Easy to see you are not a man mantra.
BTW that guys jeans look so tight he probably can't close his legs even if he tried. Ah the price of fashion... surely a woman would know all about that.
As for men... they have a physical feature that makes it rather difficult to do as you would like mantra. Ever been "ruptured"? Kicked in the proverbials?
There are reasons men don't sit cross legged or with their knees together mantra. I would have thought you'd, know why by now.
DOLT - A person who is stupid and entirely tedious at the same time, like bwian. Oblivious to their own mental incapacity. On IGNORE - Warrior, mellie, Nom De Plume, FLEKTARD

There is a difference between reasonably spreading your legs to be comfortable and being over-the-top arrogant about it surely?

If men 'need' to occupy 2 seats maybe they need to pay double fares

What language do the natives speak in Atlanta?

I used to think they did it on purpose, especially when they're sitting next to a young female. Maybe it is difficult for males to sit with their legs together, but some of them think it's their right to spreadeagle them and don't care about the person next to them whose legs are being squashed.

Have heard that black on black crime is high in Atlanta. I have never had any trouble on the trains and have never seen anyone else have any either.
