The good thing is that those they beat when they went to the cops they got charged for their offenses.

Vigilante paedophile hunter arrested for assault and blackmail
A man purporting to be a vigilante paedophile hunter has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting and blackmailing men who had arranged to meet under-age girls.

The 25-year-old man from Wigan is being held by Greater Manchester police after one of the men complained to police. He has also been arrested.

Detectives said that two men the vigilante group suspected of being paedophiles have also been arrested.

A 25-year-old from Skelmersdale is charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 after grooming. He is due to appear before magistrates in Wigan tomorrow. The second man, who is 19, has been released on bail on suspicion of committing a similar offence.

Police were alerted to the first incident when the teenager arranged to meet a girl aged 14 in a church car park in Atherton, Greater Manchester, on Friday evening.

In fact he had been entrapped by a group of men claiming to be paedophile hunters. When he arrived at the meeting spot at about 9pm they filmed themselves attacking him.

The man managed to get away, but later received messages demanding money. The group allegedly threatened that they would upload the video of him on Facebook.

Next day the man reported the incident to the police and was arrested. He has been given bail pending further inquiries.

In a second incident, concerned shoppers witnessed the Skelmersdale man being beaten up by a group of people at Market Place in Wigan yesterday afternoon.

The group accused the man of arranging to meet a 14-year-old girl online. In the ensuing fight he lost two of his teeth.

The rest of the group filmed the incident, which has since been posted online. The man got away from the group and went to the police station to report the incident. Police said he was charged with a grooming offence.

I think those attracted to minors leave themselves open to such vigilantism.

Weird as it seems, apparently most peodophiles were victims of peodophilia as a child, so the abuse goes full circle.
I would have thought if a victim was so disgusted or traumatised by the act, the last thing they would want to do is do it to someone else. But apparently not.
So I gather somehow it affects them psychologically and are seeking some sort of revenge.

Well in gaol/jail anyway. They'll bash a blke for being a peodophile and then go and rape some young bloke who can't defend himself.

One month before I was in max at Parramatta a peodophile was killed there.
He'd sexually assaulted an aboriginal boy and that boy's uncle was in Parramatta gaol.
The blacks got him around the gym equipment along one side of the oval.
They held him down while the uncle repeated slammed the bench press on his head.
Josh - the hardest character in there (had ice in his eyes - sociopath) said "That's not god enough" so took over and finished the peodophile off.
About 100 inmates watched, but Josh never gt done because no one said a word.

By the time I turned up, the bench press was locked in an unaccessable caged area between 4 and 5 wing. We could see it, but not use it.
