Their fans are serial troublemakers, and this time, they really screwed the pooch. Not only did they arc up about a penalty that was clearly correctly called, but the players started abusing the ref, and then the crowd start pelting the ref's and touch judges with bottles, leading to one of them falling, and breaking his shoulder blade. Supposedly, the bottles were coming from the members area (as opposed to the nose bleed section)... the club needs a significant penalty, to ensure this never happens again.

Canterbury captain James Graham is facing up to five weeks suspension from the NRL after being charged with contrary conduct and dangerous contact.

Graham and team-mates David Klemmer, Sam Kasiano and Michael Lichaa were all cited by the match review committee on Monday over incidents in Friday night's controversial 18-17 loss to South Sydney.

Graham faces a 1-2 week ban over his attempted charge down which left South Sydney half-back Adam Reynolds with knee ligament damage that will sideline him for four months.

He and Klemmer face a further 2-3 weeks on the sidelines for contrary conduct after the pair remonstrated aggressively with referee Gerard Sutton following the penalty.

Not good enough, for a captain to let his emotions get the best of him, and abuse the ref. The fact that he was 100% wrong just adds to his culpability. A captain needs to set an example, and keep his teammates in check, rather than encourage them to lose it.

I'm a proud bulldogs supporter, I have been since the days they were called the Berries. I think Graham went overboard in this instance but to be honest I like the bloke and think he is inspirational wearing his heart on his sleeve and never say die attitude. We will win a premiership with him as skipper. I must admit I do cringe with our ethnic supporter base nowadays. I left Sydney about twenty years ago and at that time lived on the Northern beaches and just before I left I went to Belmore oval for a Friday night match with a mate who was a Manly supporter, it was embarrassing listening to the local dogs supporters that yelled out all night " go bulldaugs" in that middle eastern accent.

There have been plenty of instances where he has gone overboard. He is the worst of the stereotypical footy meat head. Not leadership material, I'm afraid

As for Graham, I think he's passionate about winning and leads by example in his playing action, as in he's as tough as most Pommy props that have made it in the NRL.
He needs to tone his aggro down with the refs but I think that's just his passion he wears his heart on his sleeve attitude.
