Of course some prostitutes would say they love their job, but don't believe it. A nymphomaniac might be an exception, but they would only be a minority of the female population.

I don't think that the point of the article is that "they love it", but rather that they are sick being painted as broken or bad or exploited victims. They don't want to be made to feel bad, about the choices they make, any more.

Although there are, no doubt, victims being exploited in the industry.

I have cohabited with prostitutes in Sydney and Bundy in the 90s.
I have been asked to pimp for them in Bundy, and one in Sydney went around refering to me as her boyfriend.
The only non speed addicted sex worker in Bundy was run out of town by another prostitute and her Rebel pimp.

Comments in this thread claim "Some love it" and others have disputed it.
From my experience, those who are drug addicted do dislike some of their clientel, but want the money.
On the flip side, when my self made millionaire father was going through divorce and my nut job mother was spending $10,000 a month plus petrol, he found it more economical to use prostitutes that get a new partner, and he claimed the working girl he was seeing at the time said she did love her job, especially the desire of her customers and attention they payed her.

At one stage my father and I shared my grand mother's old house. He'd ripped up the carpet and daily swept dust/dirt from the cracks in the floor boards for about 2 months before having new carpet layed.
During this period he was seeing a Thai prostitute here on a student visa. She was all over him because she thought he had money (which he did). When he brought her back to the house with no carpet she didn't want to see him again.

A bloke I know who used to own an internet cafe in Bundy has a penis that hangs to his knees, and has had prostitutes tell him "You're not sticking that thing in me" before getting his money back.

A mate I'd known for 28 years but not seen for 12 years turned up just prior to Xmas 2011 wanting somewhere to stay with his Bull terrier bitch. He wanted to sell his water front unit in Nelson Bay and buy somewhere up here where he could fish and hunt (we used to hunt rabbits and hares along the road through my valley and pigs out the back in the forest).
He was working around Gladstone (2 hours drive away) and the rents were $800 a week for crappy old weatherboard cottages due to workers on the Curtis island gas plants and FIFO mine workers clogging up the rental market.
He sought out numerous prostitutes advertised in the local rag, but says he walked away once he got a look at them in person. He reckons all the pros in Central Qld are fat and ugly, and all the pros on the Gold Coast are glamour babes.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

You really think that someone he is paying for sex is likely to tell him anything else?

Haven't been to Mars, the Moon, or beyond the Pacific ocean.

Do you really live such a sheltered life?
