He seems to be a decent and knowledgeable sort of person I believe. Man, we have to listen to that election crap for two years now??? Of course it’s never ending eh?
You have to remember AiA is a rabid dumbocrat.
He is the equivalent of a Greens supporter.

Another reply from an American friend about Ted Cruz.
I was asked that question yesterday. Here is my reply:

Again, I'm not up to speed enough on Cruz or any other Republican candidate to issue profound statements. I do know enough to say that I'm interested and look forward to hearing what his plan is for the U.S. As one person said, "Progressives are already going apeshit with slander, hate and vindictiveness. If Boehner, McConnell and Peter King start attacking him then we'll KNOW that Ted's the right man!" That's how I feel. B

Progressive = Liberal = Democrat. McConnell is a Republican Senator and the other two Republican members of the House of Representatives. All three are so liberal they might as well be Democrats and are known as Rhinos (Republicans in name only).

Cruz is from Texas and so is Rick Perry. I cannot support Perry. He was a candidate in 2012, but screwed up in Presidential debate. Don't recall the particulars, but his world knowledge seemed inadequate. He has also recently been in trouble as TX Governor in no-bid contracts that were being handed out for state projects. Perry vetoed funding for Travis County Public Integrity Unit, which was investigating high-ranking state officials and Perry’s office concerning concerning that. He is no where being beyond reproach. He's a career politician type who is looking out for Rick Perry first and foremost.

David Letterman came on tv just as I was going to bed last night and I heard him say.

"Ted Cruz? He was born in Canada, his own father fled Cuba to settle in America and he's against immigration?"

That's about the extent of my knowledge re Cruz thus far.

He doesn't stand a chance and he knows it. He is just practicing this time around. Like when Saddam Hussein gassed Kurdish villages.

I am saying that Ronald Reagan was just practicing in 1976, like Ted Cruz is today.

Reagan did just the opposite of what people give him credit for: he grew the size of government; he did not shrink it. he grew deficits; he did not shrink them.
