Oh dear you need to get to civilisation more often and you'll see and hear on TV and radio Muslims using it.Outlaw Yogi wrote:The Lord's Army?Rorschach wrote:Can you name any other group that has used it as an excuse for their behaviour? hmmm?
Actually it's not the Mozzies using 'it' (radicalisation) as an excuse for anything.
It's those commenting and/or apologising for muslims in the name of 'multi-cultural tolerance'
They (would be Jihadis) don't see themselves as radical, they think of themselves as
conservative muslims on a righteous path.

But yes you're right, Rawsack can only post the same old stuff he's copied from others over and over again until he finds someone else to copy.
I used to give Monk a fair bit of stick, but one thing he said to Rawsack about Rawsack was spot on, and exactly what I'd been thinking myself, and that was that he (Rawsack) has no originality whatsoever.
This monkey see monkey do behaviour we constantly get from Rawsack is another common habit of schizophrenics.
But we still need him all the same because he's our village idiot.

I think it must be the 'flouncing' that signals a posters desperate need to be a whipping boy and Rawsack does the flounce like he was born for it. Then he takes it from one thread and flounces out over to another topic and does the flounce there, usually to the same poster he flounced out of the previous thread.

Oh and one more just because I can...

AMAL RIFI: You can't win this just by military and police operations. You also need to put in place a well thought of de-radicalisation program and that's where we are failing our young people. We're not putting anything in place that is effective and that works. Nothing.

What a halfwit. I post this ...
That's supreme idiocy, and the idiot somehow manages to convince itself that what it posts has some value or merit.
See this Rawsack ...
Then IQ posts this ...Outlaw Yogi wrote: ... Rawsack can only post the same old stuff he's copied from others over and over again until he finds someone else to copy.

Re: Radicalisation or Rubbish?
Persecution pushing young Australian Muslims to the margins of society, says leader
Date April 10, 2015 - 8:19A
Rachel Olding
Young Australians are joining terror groups because their "blood is boiling" at domestic persecution and international atrocities committed by the West, a local Muslim leader has warned.
Keysar Trad, founder of the Islamic Friendship Association, told a university forum that his comments may be "dangerous" and "politically incorrect" but they were crucial to understanding why more than 200 Australians have taken up arms in Syria and Iraq. 1/ They aren't Australians, don't even consider themselves Australian, that is the FIRST problem.
In a scathing assessment of Australia's efforts to create a harmonious society, he said constant persecution, hypocritical Australian laws, vitriolic media and repeated invasions in the Middle East were pushing young Muslims "to the margins of society" and driving them to radicalisation. Trad is part of the problem and always has been.
"Denying the root causes is like applying a Band-Aid to an open wound before cleaning and disinfecting it," he told an anti-radicalisation forum at the University of Western Sydney on Wednesday night. 2/ The root cause is these wankers are apart from Australian society not part of it and will never be, that is how they want it.
Mr Trad, a controversial figure who described himself as a "roving imam", said he could understand why young Australians were driven to join Islamic State but he tried to convince them it was not the solution.
His comments were reflected in a recent study that found one in five Australian Muslims think terrorists have legitimate grievances. ta daaa... part of the problem, this is what they are taught from birth.
The nation-wide survey of 800 Muslims, conducted last year by the University of Queensland, found that counter-terrorism policy in Australia was breeding anger, backlash, distrust and a siege mentality. Go Multiculti... send them back "HOME"
Mr Trad listed the Iraq invasions, the war in Afghanistan and the torture of Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay as grievances for young Muslims.![]()

He cited the case of Northern Territory unionist Matthew Gardiner, who recently returned to the Northern Territory after reportedly fighting with the Kurdish forces against IS , as an example of hypocrisy in Australia. Oh dear and we don't even know what the outcome will be yet and we have many others returned who are muslims and nothing has been done about them yet. The hypocrisy and scaremongering and bias is all yours Trad.
"If he just went through the belief that he wants to fight against this group that he believes to be a very evil group, if he did it for that reason, why do we wonder when a Muslim person is exposed to any of these atrocities that have been committed against his relatives?" he said.
"Why do we wonder why the blood inside that young Muslim doesn't boil to the extent that he feels that he has to do something?" Yes they have to be fair minded Australians
Mr Trad said Australian Muslims were confronted with "systemic discrimination", opportunistic political commentary, unemployment and "duplicitous standards" in law enforcement.![]()

"It is hard to argue with a young person who starts to cite all these issues, you can see the fire in their bellies, you in fact feel the same fire yourself," he said. It's because people like Trad also believe all this bullshit and bring up their youth believing it that there is a problem.
"All the above factors compound to different extents the sense of victimisation and alienation amongst youths in general and Muslim youths in particular." Why do they see themselves as MUSLIM YOUTH and not Australian YOUTH? HMMM.
In contrast, IS propaganda tells young people: "Join us and you will belong, you will not be discriminated against, you can go wild, let loose your facial hair and you become the law." he said. 3/ We should just let them all go never to return. We are better off without them.
Lydia Shelly, a lawyer and Muslim community member, said there was a poor understanding of radicalisation in Australia.
Her comments were echoed by Dr Jan Ali, a lecturer in Islam and Modernity at UWS, who told the forum that deradicalisation programs were pointless without a proper understanding of the phenomenon itself.4/ Yes the problem itself is bad upbringing.
He said the federal government's efforts to fund community-led programs wouldn't solve the problem.
"There are some Muslims who are on the path of radicalisation who are from a middle class, well-to-do family," he said. "They don't need hand-outs."
The federal government has allocated $14 million for community-led deradicalisation initiatives and $545 million for the inclusion programs by the Department of Social Services.

Re: Radicalisation or Rubbish?
I have only seen it applied to Muslims, at least in the sense that broader society is to blame rather than a particular ideology or hate preacher. Gandalf flogs that horse tirelessly on the other forum. Most recently he has been arguing that getting rid of holocaust denial laws would actually stop terrorists murdering cartoonists, because it is all due to this victimhood mentality and Muslims feeling like Islam is under attack from the west - not because of cartoons mocking Muhammed on the street, but because we are being hypocritical about it by not pushing the freedom of speech issue onto the holocaust. He has thrown the R word around quite a lot in previous discussions also.boxy wrote:Did anyone actually say anything like this? Or is it just a strawman you're standing up there to burn?Rorschach wrote:But apparently only Muslims can be radicalised, as if it has something to do with their particular racial or cultural DNA.
As if it is something they can't help or be blamed for...
The implicit assumption is "obviously Muslims are victims - look at how upset and angry they are".
