Some people, maybe most, can't really digest brown rice well enough to unlock its nutrition. The only creature I know that can is:

No, I don't eat rice, brown or otherwise. If I do a stir-fry I use the Hokkien shelf fresh noodles. They are already cooked so you just add them to the stir-fry, or you can put them in boiling water for a couple of minutes to heat them up.
Yes, pasta (he was heating up macaroni) bulks you up and he was eating it 3-4 times a day! Potatoes definitely don't have that affect on a body. Nor does bread for that matter.
I think some people just don't know when to stop eating. You can go to the local shopping centre and there are people every where eating at all times of the day. The best "diet" is to shake your head (no) rather than nod (yes) when offered more food. Know when you have eaten "elegant sufficiency".

You'll end up fat with that diet.IQS.RLOW wrote:Shoved a pig up a cows arse and roasted it on a spit.
Skipped the coffee and went straight to banging an 8 ball of meth.
Not sure what I'm having for lunch.

Last week I saw 3 teenagers and one woman in her 30's (not their mother) buying KFC at 9.30 in the morning.
As for brown rice...

I think the benefits of weight loss outweigh the malabsorption of a couple of nutrients compared to white rice's nutrient and kilojoule absorption.
I think it makes sense to eat less refined and processed foods as possible.

I tend to eat whatever takes my fancy, but in moderation. I won't substitute butter for margarine and I won't use sugar substitutes as I think the additives are highly carcinogenic.
For me, moderation is the key rather than substitution. Cancer data on Stevia is largely incomplete but I don't eat enough sugar to worry about it.

Absolutely, I read where 'someone' had the confirmation he needed because IQ apparently left the computer for an hour one Thursday evening and then came back with a nicer attitude. That was absolute confirmation that he saw his dealer.

Everyone can read this thread as it is in Off Topic. I posted it here, deliberately.
