Now that I wont be going out for lunch, we are going out later, (so wont be having sushi for lunch today) I will have 2 rice cake (corn thins), one with mashed avocado and sliced tomato with a sprinkle of chopped basal, the other with cottage cheese and cucumber slices and shredded mint.
Love my mums herb garden.

And for dinner, we'll be having this.

I don't have a weight problem. I eat whatever I feel like when I am hungry. This thread was started as a service for the Forum Members. ;)
A muffin-top is overhanging fat that spills over the waistline of pants or skirts like the top of a muffin spilling over its paper casing because of tight clothing in that particular area of the body or excess body fat.

I think this is a great thread.

Everyone should eat properly, not only those who wish to lose weight.

It's not just about weight, it's about nutrition.

I agree. We need to spend more time analysing our food to see how we feel after a meal or snack. One of my favourite pick me ups are marinated mussels - Sealord - no other brand. I order half a dozen jars at a time as they're not always available. They're NZ green lipped mussels and the health benefits from this tasty mollusc is on par with any anti-inflammatory vitamin, maybe better because of the added benefit of taste.

I don't know why overweight people squeeze themselves into tight clothes so their rolls are overflowing and exposed for everyone to see. They look uncomfortable.

I loved muscles until I ate a bad one and ended up in hospital with gastro a couple of years ago.

I'll probably eat them again at some stage in the future... but for now i'll stick to all other seafood but muscles.

And I agree with you Mantra... instead of obsessing about what foods help us lose weight, we should all be eating sensibly and ensuring our meals are healthy and complete.

Noone should be eating foods with a high fat or energy ... fat or not.

Good advice there Mantra re- eating foods that make us feel good.

My toddler had porridge with slices of banana on top for breakfast, and for lunch, she had half a cheese and cucumber sandwich on soy linseed bread with a diced peach and a few grapes.

Tomorrow for breakfast she'll have french toast, (done the healthy way) .. just wholemeal bread dipped in an egg and dry-fried in a pan with a spray of olive oil spray.

And i'll serve this with fruit.

:Hi

She's refusing eggs, will only eat french toast lately.

She ate mini-fritatas and salad for lunch yesterday however, so...... she will eat them, I just have to be creative.

We are not talking about "over weight people" here, mantra. This "muffin top" is the norm for teenagers. Otherwise they are still of "normal weight". BUT ...........

This is an overweight person.

Mellie.

You are doing a great job. Remember that each kid is different.

Hard Love has to be applied, just remember that her tiny tummy is about the size of HER fist, so don't worry if she will only pick at stuff. She will not starve, she will demand before that happens.

Let her eat what she feels like eating, when she feels like eating! Make sure there is a large Fruit Bowl available at little Toddler eye level.

It's only once she starts pre-school that she will need training to eat at regular hours. Just let her sort out her own tastes. MUCH easier on you.

Great thread Nef.
It's appropriate for me at the moment as I'm trying to lose weight.
It's not going to sound like I'm trying to lose weight when I tell you today's menu though. :rofl
Kicked off with a bacon and egg roll when I finished work this morning after an overnighter.
I had a skim milk cappuccino with two sugars in it( true story at least I save some Calories on the milk. :rofl )
I didn't really eat lunch but I had a hot cross bun with a smattering of real butter on it about 2.30pm. I had a soda water with that.
I'm going to make fillet mignon for dinner wrapped in bacon with mustard ( yea I know it sounds like I do bacon a lot but today is the first time I've eaten it in a couple of weeks and I usually eat chicken or seafood.)
With that beef I am having broccoli and two baby red potato( I was going to buy sour cream to put on them but I put it back on the shelf).
I'll also drink two stubbies of Coopers tonight.
I might also have a lemon meringue cup cake after dinner given my wife is the kitchen making some as I type. :rofl
Good diet hey?

I have lost four and half kilo in the last six weeks with a goal of losing ten when I started. Today's not a normal day. But maybe I'll make a log of what I eat each day here to pour out my guilt when I stuff up. I'll be honest my sugar and beer habits were pretty ordinary I'd prefer five beers rather than one and putting two sugars in a coffee was cutting down.
Most days I have only been eating twice a day I used to always do this until a few years ago so I've reverted to doing that again.
