There are many people who rort the DSP and many people fortunate enough to have a compassionate Dr who helps them obtain it because Newstart is so inadequate.

That doesn't mean that these people should not be taken off it. There are many "bad" backs out there or "depressed" people who get it, and shouldn't. It should be for those genuinely in need.

When a young person pretends to be ill to get out of working, the pretense can become a habit. They will probably spend their whole life being idle and a burden. Working is better for a person's mental, emotional and physical health so on those principles alone access to the disability pension should be tightened up.
