I will do most of my cooking on Christmas Eve probably.

Pack your things well because I noticed on the Australia Post website the other day that warnings of FRAGILE or HANDLE WITH CARE are pointless and that you should pack all parcels to withstand being dropped from 1 metre or more.

Things aint like they used to be.

It's hard to believe Christmas is only a little over 3 weeks away. I won't be doing much this year - the younger family members are usually on a paleo diet or something similar and us older folk don't have the appetites we used to. Too much food goes to waste.

We'll have a couple of cold chickens, cold roast beef and a mix of salads. No sweets or cakes - maybe a variety of fruit and nuts. It's not worth the effort of cooking a feast when it doesn't get eaten.

Home made rocky road is a nice gift Solonoid.

I have to work Xmas day but I intend to pig in on Xmas night. I like to buy a leg ham the week before Xmas and indulge in it a few times before and then use it for ham and eggs and what not after Xmas.
I will also buy a turkey for Xmas dinner ( a request from my twelve year old) and I'll have turkey salad and ham on Xmas night. I'll also do Xmas pudding and brandy cream. I love plum pudding. I used to make my own from my Great grandmothers recipe but I just don't have the time to do it these days. I need to start work at 8am on Xmas day so my son has decided to get up and make me some butter milk pancakes before I go.

On leave from tonight until new year.

T''was the night before xmas
and all through the polls
not an animal was stirring
not even PA trolls

Aussie was hiding
the place became calm
until false accusations
started to cause harm

IQ was festering
over some posts
he loves to abuse people
he loves that the most

Nef was defending
PA as she knows
that Ozpol is bullshiting
that's the way it goes

Mantra was excited
to see things so pleasant
Until she saw IQ
then saw his pheasant

Roach had to scurry
home to prepare xmas lunch
looked into PA
and saw a strange bunch

Boxy was on guard
through all this holiday
struggling to see
why animal are here all of tha day

Monk was playing
with his dog that he loves
blowing kisses through VB
as he puts on his rubber gloves

Annie was impressed
how PA is better today
but Monk will not let her
come here to play

Skip was the master
beneath the southern sky
begging for forgiveness
why me, PA, why

Merry Xmas and a Great New Year Animals
