Snap out of it, and evolve.

It could have just as easily been some other NON-MUSLIM loon obsessed with spewing forth antagonistic attention seeking and venomous rhetoric.

What it was was a cry for help and I think attention, the man was criminally insane and felt as though the whole world had turned against him, all except for his chosen "god" of the week....Allah.

Was he a muslim?

Well, this depends on who you ask, because he was practicing black-magic, spiritualism, astrology from his shed less than a decade ago.

Regardless of what he was or wasn't, he was a lunatic first and foremost, and blaming/stigmatising/ defining certain religious groups based on one sick individuals actions is counterproductive and classic of your misinformed red-necked bogan.

If deflection is a concern, two snipers can fire. One shoots to break the glass, the other shoots to kill.
You should totally offer them your help, thinking of these things, next time, Mellie. They obviously have no idea :thumb

I saw it on NCIS :thumb

I haven't been in or near Martin Place for probably 20 years and I'm not big on cafes .. but I must admit I'm glad I wasn't there at the time, because I would have got shot for spitting on their Mozzie flag.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Good point.

Black magic black-magic, spiritualism, astrology and anything else is definitely the work of the devil and not Allah.

He is a crazy coward seeking attention before he died a death by cop.

Be cannot prevent these situations.

ASIO should have taken this lunatics website ramblings a little more seriously than they did and monitored him more closely.

Instead, he was granted bail and left to his own devises.

It seems even my Bart agrees with a few of you who believe all Muslims endorse terrorism.

Tori Johnson, a hero to be remembered. This takes balls.

Image
Tori Johnson, the manager of the Lindt Chocolate Café, is reported to have made a grab for the pump action shotgun as Man Haron Monis, a self-styled sheikh, started to nod off.

In the ensuing struggle, at around 2am local time, the gun went off, fatally injuring 34-year-old Mr Johnson, who died of his injuries in hospital a short while later.

The shooting, which were being watched by a police sniper overlooking the café through a telescopic rifle site, triggered the order for tactical response group officers to storm the building.

Wonder if the cafe had CCTV?

Have they, actually, released information about the deaths of those deceased at the scene?

The above is possibly pure conjecture, Super Nova. Police Investigation will eventually tell us what went on, and that could take months if not years!
