The word on the street is that the "nuclear" option is being moved to DEFCON 3.

Abbott will stand down and Cory Bernadi will be elected unopposed as PM with complete authority to run the country as he thinks it should be run.

The resulting explosion of lefty heads will be the greatest thing to happen to both the left and right side of Australian politics ever.

Abbotts problem is that he tried to govern by placating the left. We all know that can't be done by a conservative. He needed jack boots on their throats, but didnt and now comes across as wishy washy. He should have smashed 18c into next week. Now he's moved $200m to the bob brown bank.

Good to see you acknowledge there's a problem. The Coalition won't change leaders after seeing the damage it did to Labor, although if the polls don't improve closer to the election - they might be forced to do that.
