Transformations
Would anyone have recognised Renee Zellweger?
She still looks ok. Unrecognisable, but ok. What possesses people to make such radical transformations?

Re: Transformations
Mickey Rourke.
One has to believe that Mickey underwent so many surgeries in the hope of rectifying old injuries from his brief boxing career. No-one could willingly and intentionally do this to themselves.

Meg Ryan.
Such a shame, she was so pretty once.
Re: Transformations
It's pretty disgraceful - the sheer vanity of it all and the pathetic excuse that people need to do this to get that 'promotion, pay-rise and even job'.
Whenever I hear of Doctor shortages in OZ I say "Yeah right - maybe they should all stop doing Face-Lifts then"
The results don't really 'hide the fact'.
I say this as someone who has attended to patients (while Nursing) who had this operation. Only one patient was not 'vain' and may have ligitamently had a very good excuse, like a deformity - to have it done. Most are women who just want to look 'younger'. The female staff would make me attend to them to see the 'sleaze scale' reading in regards to me being a 'younger male' and finding these older women 'beautiful' now because of their ops. A good number 'needed' me to want them sexually to boost their vainess and ego. It was quite pathetic.
I looked after Adriana Xenides often as she was a regular visit to our hospital. I was disappointed in many of my staff who 'fed her celebrity ego' rather than concentrate on her health. She was just a woman, a patient to me - once I acknowledged my awareness of who she once 'was' - world's longest running game show hostess. She had cosmetic surgery, but she really didn't need it. She was naturally beautiful and I (and patients) enjoyed much conversation with her. I know she enjoyed having someone talk about everything else, besides her 'celebrity' side of life. We would talk for hours on the quiet and dull night shifts. She was a lovely person and not as 'mentally ill' as many in the Media saw her as.
Her vainess in regards to her looks were specifically tied to her 'Media' side of life and alas, for her - it was going down-hill, not up-hill.
When I look back, she was one of my favourite patients. Not because of who she 'was'. But because she was a 'regular' occurance with me and we had such great talks and I felt that she enjoyed being 'my friend', rather than have me be another 'her friend' (the celebrity). I miss her.

I felt very sad for Adriana. I was thinking that she was depressed and succumbed to suicide but on Googling it I see she died from a ruptured intestine. I had forgotten.
I am glad that she found a 'friendship' with you during her many treatments.

Re: Transformations
I don't take much notice of Hollywood. Look at Brad Pitt's new wife. Ex druggie, massive facial surgery ....... but the Leftards must love her for the adoption of a gangle of kids.
Brad Pitt never did it for me. I preferred Rob Lowe.

Re: Transformations
Renee Zellweger's appearance is shocking. There is no semblance of her old self and she could be a stranger. She was never beautiful, but she was attractive and she's wrecked her unique looks.
Some of these celebrities are too scared to age naturally and end up looking grotesque after surgery.
