Given that every 7 seconds somebody dies of complications from diabetes it is hard to make the case that Ebola is a threat at all but politicians here in the States can't get votes with the fear of diabetes ...

That's comparing apples and oranges.

Every second someone dies from natural causes too.

Diabetes cannot be caught from someone else. Diabetes cannot cause a pandemic in a matter of weeks or months killing otherwise healthy individuals.

The Zombie apocalypse is upon us.

Diabetes can often be attributed to individual lifestyle choices as well. Pretty sure most people would give up junk food and exercise vigorously if they thought it would limit their risk of catching ebola.

Why be afraid of terrorists and Ebola when heart disease, cancer and diabetes are far more likely to kill you?

Because I have a responsibility to keep my family alive and let my daughter have a chance to reach adulthood.

Then your efforts to prevent your family from getting heart disease, cancer and diabetes would make more sense than anything you could do about Ebola or ISIS.

A second American medic has tested positive for ebola, as a top UN official warned that the world was losing the race against the disease.

People (including children) are in a panic. Why would children even know about Ebola unless they hear about it at school? You have more chance of dying from Salmonella poisoning ......
