The ACT introduced (at ACT taxpayer cost) an Emergency Home Help Service whereby Doctors visit you at HOME, after hours (forgotten the times but all weekend and after 4.30 or something during the week.) To take the "pressure" off the Hospital Emergency Services. The Home Service is FREE (Bulk billed) and, guess what? Since it was introduced, now the service is spaced out because EVERYBODY with a runny nose can call A HOME DOCTOR! I haven't heard whether the Ambulances can get REAL EMERGENCIES to
Casualty to SAVE LIVES or not, but if your kid is running a mild temperature, RING HOME DOCTORS .......... FREE.
