Yes Monk you've brought up another of my pet hates, the onclick crap... which I have spoken of before on several occasions only to be told by Boxy i think, what the problem was and that we just had to live with it.

But apparently the most tech savvy (self proclaimed, of course), like Monk are the ones who cant seem to work out how to do this. Mainly because it's just another thing to whinge about, and pretend that there are major problems with a forum that he is trying to replace with his twitterblog.

Comments can often be funnier without naughty words. I love a good swear word as much as the next warfie and use them regularly myself and in boards like this,off topic, I think they're quite acceptable but I often get a better laugh out of subtle comebacks.
I don't want to change the way this place is as it is what it is because of the way it has been, if that makes sense?, but I would like to make the politics board a little more inviting to those that want to discuss and argue politics rather than tell people they're dipshits with no idea.
Maybe we could keep all of the abuse put downs and free advice on other posters to the other boards? I don't mean someone should not have it pointed out they have no idea or use adjectives to do so but maybe we could all, me included,argue the subject in the politics board rather than abuse the poster we disagree with.

A couple of people cannot help but derail threads and their lack of self control is apparent so I doubt they will be able to confine their provocations/abuse to a confined area. Who knows though.

You are the Admin skip, DO something to improve Politics other than wishing for it to improve. Set some sanctions for crap language, abuse, mention of family, publishing of personal info, etc. Without sanctions nothing will happen.
